Jamie Vardy’s Goal Against Liverpool

Leicester City FC sacked their coach recently and were without a manager for their game against Liverpool. They sacked Claudio Ranieri for non performance, which saw them sitting just above the relegation zone.

Who would have thought a non performing Leicester City, under there care taker manager Craig Shakespeare would defeat Liverpool 3-1. It was a champion’s performance. A performance that was displayed last year that won them the title. The Foxes going back to their 4-4-2 formation and their first strike was straight from the 2015-16 playbook as Vardy collected Marc Albrighton’s precise long pass before racing clear and finishing low past Simon Mignolet to score his second goal in a week.

Ranieri’s name was everywhere at the King Power stadium – in pre-game conversations, on banners and in chants – as was his face, courtesy of paper masks worn by some Foxes supporters.

Given the circumstances, the game raises a few questions more than praises for their performance. Were the Leicester City board right in sacking their beloved coach? A coach who gave the club its brightest and best moments. Were the players really at fault for Leicester not performing ? Had Ranieri lost his dressing room ?
However, it is only the first game after the Italian’s sacking. It was a home game. Their away games form is the one where they have been hurt the most. They are just two points clear of the relegation zone and are in 15th position. There are 12 more games to go. It is right to say that it is too early to pass any sort of judgement.

However, if you had not predicted that Leicester would win yesterday, here is a quick fact or may be strategy for Arsenal board.

Swansea sack their coach & beat Liverpool, Hull city sacked their coach & beat Liverpool, Leicester city sack their coach & beat Liverpool. So if Arsenal wants to beat Liverpool this weekend, you know the drill!
